Feeling a Little Foodish

My oh my, do we like pie! Mincemeat, in this case, baked at the same time as the potato which follows.

One potato, almost large enough for its own zip code. I will be making a several meals out of this one. [I had a quarter of it on Sunday night.]

Parrotfish [one word? two?], nearly a perfect match for Secondborn’s new scarf, much brighter than in this photo. Did not buy any, but the color was just amazing.

Golden trout; probably lost their heads over some mermaid.

They are nearly the same color as this scarf. Although you wouldn’t know it from the pictures in that post.

But the best food of all? The leftovers in my fridge, from when Trainman and I had dinner last night. I have half a wood-roasted trout, various roasted veggies [including a potato that is a little too al dente to be enjoyed without further nuking]. And half a ginormous piece of black bottomed Key Lime pie. Which we shared.

And a very nice hug for dessert.

Is there a real reason that you posted a picture of a disgusting, decapitated fish? Eww!

You think *all* fish is disgusting, honey. What's your point? :)

I posted it because they're pretty, and they match one of my scarves. Somewhere in the spirit world there is a school of fish, and they are nudging one another and saying, "Look, we match her scarf. We did not die in vain."

Next payday I may buy some of those pretty, headless fish and eat one. [Or some of their cousins; I hope these have gone to the great fish fry in the sky by now!] You, ma'am, are free to stay home and eat pizza!

Please don't blaspheme my scarf by pairing it with a dead fish! By the way I really, really like my scarf.
